Consultant. Early Childhood

Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Early Childhood team.  As a Consultant, Early Childhood, your primary responsibilities will include providing leadership, consultancy, support, and professional learning to member schools in Early Childhood pedagogy.

We encourage applications from candidates with strengths in a combination of the following areas to complement the existing skills within the Early Childhood team. Part-time positions will be considered.

  • Expertise in Play-Based Learning.
  • Expertise in Inquiry-Based Learning.
  • Expertise in Nature Pedagogy.
  • Experience in leading and supporting educational change.
  • Experience teaching a diverse range of children.
  • Experience teaching in Independent Schools.
  • Familiarity with On-entry Assessments and Quality Improvement Plans. 

These positions are offered as a one-year fixed-term contract or may suit a secondment arrangement.  

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Substantial teaching experience in early childhood settings, including schools or other relevant environments.

  • Strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework v2, and the National Quality Framework.

  • Proven ability to plan and deliver multimodal professional learning.

  • Capacity to initiate, plan, and collaborate on projects with AISWA colleagues and external partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop relationships with early childhood educators. 

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline.

  • Current Teacher Registration Board (TRB) registration.

  • Current Working with Children Check.

  • Current National Police Clearance.

  • Current ‘C Class Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for business use, as required.
