Educating the Gifted and Talented 2019 | 3 Day Course
This course is appropriate for primary and secondary teachers, coordinators and school leaders who want a comprehensive understanding of gifted and talented education. This course includes all aspects of the entry-level Gifted and Talented Professional Learning Modules (developed by GERRIC with DEEWR) as well as up-to-date research, strategies and time for practical planning.

Principals China Tour - Expression of Interest
The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, through our Government of Western Australia office based in Shanghai China, is organising a Principals Tour of China. They would like to invite interested Principals in Perth to join the Tour and visit two of China’s most populous and wealthy cities – Guangzhou and Shanghai. The purpose of the Tour will be to promote Western Australian schools in these Tier 1 cities. RSVP’s from Principals interested in joining the Tour are due back to the Department by COB Friday 8 June 2018.

Parliamentary Poetry Prize
Western Australian Secondary School students are getting the chance to become published poets through the Parliament of Western Australia’s inaugural poetry competition. The competition, with the theme of Democracy in WA, aims to improve awareness of and access to the Parliament of Western Australia by students who are nearing voting age.

2019 Premier's Anzac Student Tour
The Premier’s Anzac Student Tour invites 10 students to become ambassadors and represent Western Australia on a commemorative study tour overseas.In 2019, the Premier’s Anzac Student Tour will travel to Vietnam to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Binh Ba. Between 1962 and 1972 almost 60 000 Australians served in the Vietnam War; 521 died and over 3000 were wounded.
