2019 Premier's Anzac Student Tour
The Premier’s Anzac Student Tour invites 10 students to become ambassadors and represent Western Australia on a commemorative study tour overseas.In 2019, the Premier’s Anzac Student Tour will travel to Vietnam to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Binh Ba. Between 1962 and 1972 almost 60 000 Australians served in the Vietnam War; 521 died and over 3000 were wounded. For more information please click here
WAIER Annual Research Grant 2018
The Western Australia Institute for Educational Research (WAIER) is holding its annual Forum on Saturday 4 August. This is a great opportunity for HDR students to present their research in a supportive environment. They can, perhaps, try out ideas that they will be presenting at a later conference, such as AARE. Presentations do not need to be the final results of research but may include a literature review, initial findings, or specific methodological approaches used in gathering data. 2018 STEM Learning Conference Registrations Open
2018’s STEM Learning Conference is centered around the ‘how to’ of STEM. The focus is on STEM in the classroom by giving teachers and school leaders ideas that will help them implement their own school’s STEM initiatives and stimulating thinking and discussions about the importance of STEM to our futures. ATO’s Tax, Super + You competition: A ‘Super’ way for students to learn about Tax and Superannuation
Tax and superannuation are not traditionally top of mind amongst the youth of today – but the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is aiming to shift this dialogue with the launch of the 2018 Tax, Super + You competition. The Tax, Super + You competition, which will run from 2 July to 2 November, invites high school students to develop creative ideas on how they think tax and/or super contributes to the community.
