Perth Waldorf School
Description
Playgroup to Year 12 High School education is provided via a holistic and well structured Steiner education programme.
Children initially enter the school via the 4 year old kindy programme however enrolments are taken at anytime if spaces are available. In year 7, there is a new intake class for the High School at both our Bibra Lake and Parkerville campuses.
Each year approximately 45 students graduate year 12 and more than 90% receive an ATAR result that allows them to attend the course of their choice, commensurate with their ability. However, the unique holistic nature of Steiner education means they are also musicians, artists, wordsmiths, mathematicians, scientists and healthy human beings. It is, for the teachers, a pleasure to work with these grounded and thoughtful people in such a creative and inspiring way.
The school is located in a bush-land setting near Bibra Lake in the southern suburbs of Perth (approx. 20 minutes from the CBD and 15 minutes from Fremantle). Another campus, Parkerville Steiner College, is located in the Perth Hills.
The school is autonomous and is a member of Steiner Education Australia. Steiner Education commenced in 1921 and our school was founded in 1983 as an alternative to mainstream education.
