We are currently seeking a nurturing and inclusive Teacher of the Deafs to work in our Outpost Program on a part time basis.Our Outpost Program provides comprehensive in-school support for students with hearing loss from Kindergarten to Year 12 at our partner primary and secondary schools around the Perth Metropolitan area. The program is designed for students who use oral communication to maximise their active participation in mainstream schools.Reporting to the Deputy Principal – Outpost, and working in multi-disciplinary team (including psychologists, speech pathologists, audiologists, occupational therapists and education assistants), the Teacher of the Deaf plays an essential role in delivering high quality and timely education support services to children with hearing loss.We have two part time positions at the following partner schools :
- Aquinas College (Salter Point)- 0.2 FTE
- Northshore Christian Grammar School (Alkimos) - 0.4 FTE
