Primary and Secondary College
We are seeking dedicated and dynamic educators to join our community. As a relief teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting our College by filling in for regular teachers during their absence. These positions offer a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in diverse learning environments across different grade levels. (Kindy – Year 12). We require relief teachers to strengthen an already strong team.
Austin Cove Baptist College is a co-educational College in South Yunderup and currently has approximately 750 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education within a Christian context.
Employer
The College is part of the Australian Baptist Education Inc., governed by the College Board. The College Board appoints the College Principal who is responsible for the leadership of the College. Teachers report directly to the Deputy Principal and ultimately the Principal of the Primary School.
Terms and Conditions
Independent Schools’ Teachers Award 1976. Level is dependent on experience.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Appropriate teaching qualifications and registration with TRBWA
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Education or relevant field
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly Desired Qualities
- Be highly motivated and organised
- Plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum in line with the National Curriculum
- Be able to encourage each student to reach their potential
- Work well within a team
- Have a commitment to pastoral care and extracurricular activities
- Experience in managing and working with Education Assistants
