About The School
Emmanuel Christian Community School is a co-educational K-12 school located in Perth’s northern suburbs. The School opened in 1982 and now has an enrolment of around 700 students. The School's Vision and Mission can be found on the School website.
We are currently seeking a dynamic, supportive and proactive Head of Learning Area (Science) to join our team. Commencement would be the beginning of Term 1, 2025.
To be suitable for this role you will ideally have excellent interpersonal and teaching skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders. The desire to change lives through Christ-centred education.
There will be opportunities for professional development and mentorship.
The successful applicant will:

demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills

demonstrate initiative, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Selection Criteria:

Experience with demonstrated success in student outcomes and successful completion of ATAR courses to support WACE requirements.

Ability to build the capacity of staff within a culture of support and creating a learning environment where students can aspire, learn and grow.

Responsive to the learning strengths and needs of students from diverse linguistic, cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Demonstrates innovation and creativity in the learning environment.

Enhance learning through effective use of ICT.

Proficiency in the Western Australian Curriculum.

Ability to initiate, organise and deliver innovative programs that promote Science to the School and wider community.
