Enrolments / Attendance Officer

Description

Sowilo Community High School is seeking an experienced and organised Enrolments/Attendance Officer to join our dynamic team. This full-time role will be based in Kelmscott, WA and will be responsible for overseeing student enrolments and attendance management while providing reception and administrative support to the school community. 

 

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate the enrolment process for prospective students, including responding to enquiries, maintaining an up to date wait list, scheduling interviews, and student onboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date enrolment records and databases.
  • Manage student attendance, including monitoring absences and communicating with parents/guardians
  • Follow up on unexplained absences and consult with parents, staff, and external agencies as needed.
  • Receive and direct telephone calls, voicemail and email enquiries.
  • Greet and direct visitors, parents/carers and students at reception.
  • Other administrative duties as directed by your team leader.

 

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative or enrolments role, preferably in an education setting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students and parents
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 Office suite and student management systems (e.g. SEQTA)
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as required
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality customer service
