About the role: Canteen Supervisor

 

 

South Coast Baptist College is looking for a canteen supervisor who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the canteen. The main tasks include ensuring the provision of healthy and nutritious food and drinks to the students and staff, following the guidelines of Foodsafe WA. The supervisor will also handle the financial management and coordination of human resources to maintain an efficient canteen.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, while managing day-to-day operations of the Canteen.
  • Prioritize tasks, show initiative, and maintain a proactive and flexible approach to workloads.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community, promoting morale and motivation.
  • Possess excellent customer service, money handling, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adhere to the food Traffic Light System, ensuring a healthy and appealing menu, while staying updated on WASCA guidelines and policies.
  • Food Safety Supervisors Training
  • Food Safe Food Handler Certificate
  • All about Allergens and Food Allergy Awareness training
  • Competent computer skills for online ordering, record keeping, emails, Spriggy Schools and Square payment system.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To attend Church on a regular basis and model Christian beliefs, behaviour and practices.
  • To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
  • Work to ensure personal best practice.
  • Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
  • Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
  • Working With Children Card.
