Australian Islamic College is a faith-based K-12 co-educational facility catering for over 4,500 students from five sites at Dianella, Thornlie, Forrestdale, Henley Brook & Kewdale in WA and one site in Adelaide, SA.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced teachers who can teach below subjects for our Kewdale, Dianella, Thornlie, Forrestdale & Henley Brook campuses:
- Quran
- Arabic
- Islamic Studies
Applicants MUST:
- Be able to engage and inspire students.
- Have suitable qualifications in teaching Quran and Islamic Studies - Ijazah in Tajweed is recommended.
- Use technology to advance their teaching outcomes.
- Be able to demonstrate passion and perseverance when working with students.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and actively engage students, staff and parents.
- Have or be able to obtain a Working With Children Check clearance.
- Live in Western Australia.
- Have the right to work in Australia without restriction.
- For Arabic teachers TRBWA is preferred.
Applicants must also be able to demonstrate their conviction in the following:
- The existence of God to whom they are constantly accountable.
- That schools are about academic achievement and morals.
- Respect for Islamic Values & Ethos.
- That teaching is a vocation, not just a job.
- That a caring, supportive environment is a priority.
