Description
The uptake of vaping is increasing with research showing that 13.5% of school students aged 12 -17 years in WA have tried an e-cigarette.
Vapes can contain chemicals and toxins that cause adverse health effects and increase a young person’s risk of depression and anxiety.
Are you interested in exploring what schools can do to address vaping?
Do you want to raise awareness of the health risks of using e-cigarettes?
Are you curious about the myths and misperceptions around vaping?
Did you know?
- Many vapes contain nicotine making them very addictive
- Vaping has been linked to serious lung disease
- The nicotine in 1 vape can equal 50 cigarettes
- Vapes can contain the same harmful chemicals found in cleaning products, nail polish remover, weed killer and bug spray
This workshop will include a Q&A session where current issues in schools can be discussed, and information about resources and support provided.
