Description
Place value is one of the important big ideas in mathematics to understand well. A whole school approach to the teaching and learning of Place Value will be introduced during this 'hands-on' workshop. Participants will receive a complete Place Value Menu Planner set for Years 1 to 5 and a "Playing With Place Value" book valued at $40.

David has worked with AISWA for 15 years as a Numeracy Consultant. He taught mathematics to rural students in WA for 28 years. David regularly presents at state and national conferences, and delivers ‘hands-on’ workshops, which includes, “A Whole School Approach to Teaching Place Value” and “Using Cards and Counters to Link the Proficiencies”. In collaboration with Dr Paul Swan, David has co-authored many books, which includes the “Check the Clues” series, “My Word Book: Mathematics” and the 2024 published, “Mathematics Games with School Friendly Cards Book 3”.
