Description
Literacy Bites are a series of workshops focused on Literacy and hosted by experts in the field. Each session will focus on a different aspect of literacy targeted at K-6 education. Workshops are stand alone, you can attend all or one of the workshop series.

Outcomes
- Provide content and teaching strategies to support development and implementation of Literacy programs.
- Provide examples of innovative practice and methodology that can be incorporated into Literacy program to deliver quality teaching and learning.
- Share expertise of external presenters to expand participants repertoire of content, knowledge and strategies for teaching Literacy to improve programs and student learning.
Presenters
Dr Ron Gorman
Ron is the former Deputy Director of AISWA. He has extensive experience in teaching and leading a diversity of schools in WA and Victoria. Ron has managed numerous innovative programmes and university partnerships. He is a member of the Global Educators Leaders Partnership and has been awarded Fellow of Australian Council of Educational Leadership and the Pre-Emminent Educator award in WA in 2019. Ron is also past-Chair of the Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation, advocating for Australian authors and illustrators and working closely with the Australian Children’s Laureate.
