Description
This course is made up of six parts. The first two focus on defining and understanding cognitive load, and include considerations for teachers to minimise and reduce load for learners.
The remaining four parts, introduce specific instructional techniques related to improving teacher impact in classrooms.
Throughout the course, there are a variety of interactive and engaging tasks where learners can apply understandings and consider implications for classroom practice.

- Registration is via the AISWA Professional Learning (PL) calendar.
- Member schools can bulk register staff for learning events.
- Pricing details are indicated on event registration pages and are inclusive of GST.
- Payment for individual and bulk registrations is by credit card. Registration is confirmed when payment is received.
- By attending a PL Event, you’ll automatically start receiving our AISWA Bulletin E-News to keep you updated on future events, news, and resources. You can easily adjust your email preferences anytime within the Member Portal.
- Records of course completion (and PL hours) are the responsibility of the participant.
- Cancellations are not permitted.
- Participant attendee swaps are not permitted.
- A digital badge may be awarded on completion of learning. Badge access is ongoing until the nominated expiry date
