Description

This professional learning program aims to consolidate contemporary, research-driven 'High Impact Practices' (HIPs) that act as the catalyst for building and esteeming excellence in classroom teaching to positively impact student learning experiences and outcomes.

Outcomes

Participating teachers will:

  • Strengthen their knowledge of evidence-informed high impact teaching practices.
  • Improve their confidence in implementing and adjusting practices for their contexts 
  • Expand their skills in self-assessment and reflective practices to continuously improve teaching.

Sarah Wells <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Sarah is a Teaching and Learning Consultant at AISWA. She has contributed toward the design and delivery of professional learning for the independent school sector of Western Australia and currently coordinates the research partnership between AISWA and the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO). Sarah has a PhD in Education from the University of Sydney and serves as a sessional academic for the School of Education at Curtin University. She is dedicated to evidence-informed practices that foster complex competencies and empower teachers and school leaders.

AISWA is easily accessible, with plenty of parking options nearby. While there is no onsite parking available, street parking is available along Walters Drive and surrounding streets, with a maximum fee of $5.50 per day. Please note, no cash or card payment options are available, payment is managed via the EasyPark App, so we recommend downloading it ahead of your visit for a seamless experience.
