Description
Yr 11 Human Biology Teacher Workshops- conducted as a joint venture with CEWA; DoE teachers also welcome to attend.
This series of workshops is for teachers:
- who are teaching Yr 11 Human Biology - ATAR or General, for the first time in 2018
- who are teaching in the senior secondary setting for less than 3 years
- who would like collegial support in teaching Yr 11 Human Biology.
Purposes:
- to enhance the confidence and skills of teachers new to Yr 11 Human Biology
- to encourage networking between teachers to share resources and ideas
- to encourage teachers new to Human Biology to continue.
Although this is planned as a series of workshops, participants may choose to attend a selection of the workshops on offer.

- investigations, research, and validation.
Wed 14 Mar
Assessment writing
- using grade descriptors and Judging Standards materials
- EST considerations.

Planning for 2019
Participants need to commit to:
- actively participate in workshops
- prepare for sessions by doing activities with their classes or in their own time
- to present their findings and their work for the group discuss
- share resources they may develop
- be involved with any digital group discussions that may arise from the face-to-face meetings.
