Description
Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention training is a two-day workshop designed for workers in human services whose roles bring them into regular contact with people at risk of suicide. It aims to increase knowledge and understanding of suicidal behaviour in order to increase the participant’s capacity to respond effectively to those in need.
Health and safety precautions are important considerations for the AISWA Gatekeeper trainers and for those who attend the training. However, these workshops are not designed as a therapy or support group. There is a risk that the information or discussions from these workshops can trigger a strong emotional reaction. Please consider this before choosing to attend the training.
