Description
GAFE (Google Apps for Education) is a FREE suite of free apps (software tools) to get students productive and connected. GAFE apps are delivered online and will work on any computer/device platform. They include Drive, Docs (WP), Sheets (spreadsheet), Slides (presentations) and Sites (websites). They support STUDENT COLLABORATION. This workshop is facilitated by Daniel Budd (e-Learning Facilitator, Christ Church Grammar School) and will cover all the basics required to begin using GAFE. The small group format allows for personalisation to participant needs.
Teachers new to using Chromebooks would find this particularly useful.
BYOD option: Participants will be able to participate on any platform (e.g. Mac, Windows or Chromebooks). Those with mobile devices should have all of the applications downloaded before they arrive. Participants should have a (free) Google Account already (and know their password).
AISWA devices may also be borrowed for the workshop.
Go to the GAFE website to see what's included and to download the apps.
