Description
Join us for a morning visit to Heritage College Perth in Forrestfield to view their Kindy to Year 2 classes and their play based inquiry approach to teaching and learning with a focus on STEM. The tour will include classroom visits, a talk by the educators and morning tea.
At Heritage College Perth we are passionate about working with children in a play based way through inquiry learning. We acknowledge that the children who come to us have their own characters, strengths, gifts and interests that they can contribute to the whole group and our learning environment. Careful observation of the children drives our learning programs and forms the basis of our many and varied topics of inquiry. We embrace the use of a variety of learning environments including both in and outdoors, the local community centre and local bushland for our Bush School program.
HCP is a small faith based school in the foothills of Perth with a very supportive community. There are approximately 110 students from K-12 and we have multi age classes throughout the school. For years we had a K-1 classroom but this year have changed to a K-PP class. We are looking forward to sharing our passion and enthusiasm with like minded professionals.
