Description

In this session, we will introduce a way to develop a whole school approach for the teaching and learning of basic number facts, with the aid of ‘Milestones’, particularly for addition and multiplication facts.

Learning the basic number facts well, reduces the cognitive load when trying to solve problems, so it is crucial for a school to have a cohesive teaching sequence established.

Participants will be provided with a plan, assessment ideas and key games and activities that build understanding of the basic number facts.
