Description

Educators will explore the principles of effective feedback and acquire practical, evidence-based strategies to enhance student learning, foster growth, and support a reflective, student-centered approach to teaching.

Outcomes

Educators will:

  • Understand the principles of effective feedback and its role in improving student learning and development.  
  • Learn practical, evidence-based strategies for using feedback to promote student engagement, agency and academic progress.  
  • Strengthen their ability to cultivate a feedback culture that fosters continuous student growth and academic success.

Sarah Wells <span>(AISWA Staff)</span>

Sarah is a Teaching and Learning Consultant at AISWA. She has contributed toward the design and delivery of professional learning for the independent school sector of Western Australia and currently coordinates the research partnership between AISWA and the Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO). Sarah has a PhD in Education from the University of Sydney and serves as a sessional academic for the School of Education at Curtin University. She is dedicated to evidence-informed practices that foster complex competencies and empower teachers and school leaders.

AISWA is easily accessible, with plenty of parking options nearby. While there is no onsite parking available, street parking is available along Walters Drive and surrounding streets, with a maximum fee of $5.50 per day.
