Description
This session will provide an overview of the stages of behavioural escalation, interventions that may work to de-escalate a risk situation, and crisis management with the aim of reducing the situational and behavioural risk.
Outcomes
- Understand behaviour is a form of communication.
- Identify the specific behaviours of each phase in the escalation cycle.
- Identify environmental supports that can be provided to intervene early in the acting out cycle.
