Description
Change impacts all areas of society but some sectors are impacted more than others. Independent schools engage across the generations from the youngest students to parents and grandparents, and are directly impacted by the demographic trends of population growth, ageing and cultural change.
The session will cover what data is publicly available and how to access it, some tips on how to interpret demographic data from the ABS and other sources, and some use cases of how schools can use demographic insights to inform school decisions. The session will also include a Q&A time to cover specific questions from attendees submitted in advance.
In this session, Grant Dusting and Kevin Leung will equip you with a foundational knowledge of how demographic data can inform school decision-making, including:
• An overview of the latest demographic trends shaping Perth and Western Australia and implications for schools
• How demographic change may influence long-term enrolment trends
• How to use population projections to inform strategic planning, master planning, and building program decisions
• How to discover your schoolʼs local community profile to inform marketing and enrolment strategies.
This event is partially subsidised by the Commonwealth Funded Choice and Affordability Fund (CAF) (member-schools only).
Attendees will be offered a special promotion for AISWA members of 20% off the price of selected McCrindle services booked in 2024.
