AISWA Languages Teachers' Stories

  • Many Languages – One Methodology Languages Course

Are you new to teaching languages? Do you feel in a bit of a rut with your present language teaching strategies? Do you want to meet other language teachers to share ideas and cultural understanding?

Then perhaps the AISWA Many Languages - One Methodology Course is for you.

In 2022 there were 17 participants in the course coming from both the independent and public sectors. They enjoyed demo lessons in Noongar, Chinese, Italian, Arabic, French, Indonesian and even Shakespearean English! Many of the participants came away with renewed passion and were ready to implement their new learning with enthusiasm.

Here's what some had to say:

    Italian Teacher

Applying some of the principles have made significant differences to classroom management. I don’t need to manage classroom behaviour anymore because they are all engaged.

    Arabic Teacher

Wonderful course. Big difference to what I did before to what I am doing now.

    Indonesian Teacher

Being new to teaching languages, the course has been fantastic and given me a real background into the way languages are taught. It is going to be a huge benefit to my school and students.

    French Teacher

I highly recommend this course. It is highly invigorating.
