** This event is PART 3 of a series of practical workshops to support Computer Science teachers in writing well-structured and rigorous ATAR mock exam (or course assessment) questions. **
** Each of the 3 events requires a separate registration. **

WORKSHOP 3 (6 hours): A WHOLE DAY workshop where participants who have developed their skills and understandings discuss and prepare a variety of questions, marking keys and model answers for a MOCK EXAM. The selection of contents can be SHARED FOR USE by participating schools.
Workshop 3 will require a good background in CS assessment standards and understanding of the kinds of principles covered in the course (i.e. concepts covered in Workshops 1 and 2).
CONTEXT:
This workshop series, open to ALL JURISDICTIONS, will be useful for:
1. current teachers and HoDs of the ATAR Computer Science subject;
2. schools intending to offer CSC in 2019;
3. teachers of other computing subjects who may wish to nominate for SCSA 2019 examination panel for CSC;
4. Middle School teachers of computing subjects who want to hone their CS skills.
The SERIES of 3 workshops intends to cover: guidelines for best practice question development, attending to coverage of syllabus requirements, developing quality scenarios for exam Sections 1 and 2, teaching students how to tackle the complex answers of Section 2 of the exam paper, developing effective marking keys and model answers, avoiding common pitfalls, PREPARATION of a MOCK EXAM (with model answers and marking keys) that reflects SCSA requirements and rigour.
