Know Your Science
Science is one of the ‘Big Four’ subjects in the Australian Curriculum being introduced in Phase 1, but the uptake of Science in schools lags behind English, Maths and History. The AISWA Primary Science Curriculum Network is being promoted to develop confidence in teachers to be able to address the specified content of the Australian Curriculum in an engaging manner appropriate to their students. Gravity Discovery CentreThe Gravity Discovery Centre is offering Professional Learning for teachers in 2012. Gyuto MonksSchools usually engage the monks for a whole day program or longer during which the monks can create a small Sand Mandala, chant, discuss issues and answer questions about Tibet, human rights and Buddhism and offer hands on tantric art classes.
