AISWA Professional Learning

Know Your Science

Science is one of the ‘Big Four’ subjects in the Australian Curriculum being introduced in Phase 1, but the uptake of Science in schools lags behind English, Maths and History. The AISWA Primary Science Curriculum Network is being promoted to develop confidence in teachers to be able to address the specified content of the Australian Curriculum in an engaging manner appropriate to their students.
The Know Your Science Workshops (yrs 3 & 4) (yrs 5 & 6) allow teachers to experience hands-on activities in the science that are appropriate to their year group, while increasing their own science conceptual understanding.
