The Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership

2011

On the 8th April, 2011 the Minister for School Education, Early Childhood and Youth, the Hon Peter Garrett  AM MP, announced The Australian Awards for Outstanding Teaching and School Leadership.  The new national awards will celebrate and recognise the contribution of outstanding teachers and principals in delivering high quality education for young Australians.  The Awards have been endorsed by all members of the Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood and Youth Affairs.

The Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) is managing the Awards.  Nominations from individuals will not be accepted by AITSL but must be sent to AISWA for nominations to be made to AITSL.  We encourage your involvement in these new and prestigious national awards.
