Applications are invited from experienced educators to work with Independent schools in WA to assist them in catering for students with a range of special learning needs.
The position will commence April 2012 and conclude at the end of 2013.
This full-time (1.0 FTE) position will be for an initial period of up to 12 months.
Through the National Partnership Low SES funding, the Aboriginal Independent Community Schools (AICS) determined that a Literacy Portal needed to be developed to support schools. The Portal will support teachers and leaders across the schools with effective, up-to-date literacy teaching resources and capture effective classroom teaching.
This position will work with other AISWA staff to support schools in meeting the various Government requirements in terms of registration and other legislative standards. The is support will be through the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that schools need to operate according to registration and other legislated requirements; and assisting schools prepare for registration renewal.
