Do you have a genuine passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives? We are currently seeking a vibrant and committed Secondary HASS Teacher to join our team.

As a classroom educator, your primary focus will be on guiding students through their learning journey, providing an opportunity to cultivate a nurturing and engaging environment that supports both academic growth and personal development.

In this role, close collaboration with the Head of HASS is paramount as you work together to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences within the department. Your expertise and enthusiasm will play a crucial role in implementing strategic plans aligned with our educational goals.

Position Requirements:

Strong communication skills.
Excellent teaching standards.
Ability to establish positive relationships with students and parents.
A willingness to work as part of a team; closely collaborating and providing relevant advice to other Secondary School Staff.
Effective planning and programming using the West Australian Curriculum.
Completion of required extra-curricular activities, events, and competitions.
Suitable qualifications in the field of education are expected.
Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia.


Essential Criteria:

  • To have a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • To actively be a part of a Church or Christian community and exemplify Christian beliefs, behaviour, and practices.
  • To accept the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Build co-operative and supportive relationships with the board, principal, staff, students and parents.
  • Work to ensure personal best practice.
  • Ensure that decision making is based on fact and is impartial and fair.
  • Model the use of appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Always act in the best interest of the College and its ethos.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • First Aid certificate is desirable.
  • Working With Children Card.
