Description
This Professional Learning will explore selected resources to support the teaching of the ATAR Health Studies course.
This session is designed for current and future teachers of the Year 11/12 ATAR course. It will include information about advocating for Health Studies in your school (if not already offered) and will present planning, programming and assessment ideas/models to assist you with teaching the course, using WA produced resources.
There will be opportunities for discussion and questions. Workshop participants will receive a take home USB containing workshop content which includes the power point presentation, sample programs, assessment tasks and lesson ideas.
Afternoon Tea will be provided.

Emily Lockhart
Emily Lockhart has been involved in HPE teaching and program and curriculum design for over 16 years. She is the author of eight Health Education workbooks (Human Dignity WA and Human Dignity Australia) and four Health Studies textbooks for the ATAR and General pathways. Emily is currently Head of HPE at Carey Baptist College.
