FLOURISHING AT SCHOOL

The “Flourishing at School” study is an exciting advancement in the measurement of student wellbeing. The aim of the research is to further validate the Student Flourishing Profile (SFP) and to create a large normative sample for wellbeing benchmarking. The SFP has been developed over the past two years, with input from psychologists, academics, teachers and school administrators in Western Australia. All Australian independent private schools are now invited to contribute to this exciting research as we increase our understanding of student wellbeing. Participating schools will receive a complimentary whole-of-school report as a thank you for contributing to the research. To find out more and to register visit: www.flourishingatschool.com.au.

ACEL WA Awards 2016

Call for Nominations

This ceremony honors educational leaders who have made a significant contribution to the improvement of student and organizational outcomes. This contribution is reviewed against set criteria which have been based on the AITSL Australian Professional Standards. Evidence provided must demonstrate impact at the system, state or national level. Research that has influenced significant change is highly valued.
Members are invited to nominate an individual who has made such a contribution.

PALS, an initiative of the Department of Aboriginal Affairs (DAA) delivered in collaboration with Western Australian schools, encourages young people to take a leadership role in strengthening community relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.

This one-off competition is open to all Australian secondary school students who are in Years 10 and 11 in 2016. Schools can enter their best individual student entry, with a limit of one entry per school.
