Margaret will address this diverse range of questions and more in relation to her recent research studies examining current attitudes toward and influences on recreational reading. She will draw on her direct experiences conducting relatively large-scale research with minors that value children’s experiences and opinions. positioning children as knowledgeable social agents, rather than objects to be observed.

WAIER Early Career Award 2017 | Award close on 7th July 2017.
The Western Australian Institute for Educational Research has presented the Early Career Award since 1989. The aim of the Award is to recognise excellence early in an academic/research career and to encourage continuing contributions to research of excellent quality. Nominations can be made by self or by colleagues. The award is presented at the annual WAIER Forum.
