Western Australian Museum - Learning and Creativity Professional Learning Program
Strangers on the Shore - Through role play and hands-on activities, students will consider some of the challenges the settlers might have faced trying to establish a new life far from home with limited resources, as well as the impact of their arrival on the local environment and its indigenous population. Please see website for more information and to book.
Abilities Expo
The Abilities Expo is for people with disability, their families and carers who want to know more about the services they can access and the organisations that provide those services. This will be held at Crown Perth - Grand Ballroom on Thursday September 8th. See attachment for more information.
Positive Partnerships
Like all school-aged students, young people on the autism spectrum benefit from strong, positive relationships between home and school. Positive Partnerships use evidence based materials and practical resources to help support these relationships by facilitating workshops for parents and carers. This workshop is suitable for parents, full time carers and grandparents. Free one day workshop for parents and carers held at Tompkins on Swan on Tuesday October 25th. Please see flyer for more information.
